With a history spanning more than four decades, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has a proud past...and the promise of an extremely bright future. Open to all North American-born players 20 years of age or younger, the SJHL’s primary role is to help athletes bridge the gap between playing hockey and preparing for the future. Education, as our mission statement points out, is the foundation on which this bridge is built.
Hockey Regina Inc. is the governing body for all minor hockey in Regina (players aged five to twenty years old).The purpose of Hockey Regina Inc. is to promote, govern and enhance minor hockey in the City of Regina for the good of all players, to foster a community spirit among members, supporters and teams and to increase the interest of the game of hockey in the City of Regina. To promote team participation, sportsmanship and equal opportunity to all registered participants relative to the game of ice hockey in the City of Regina
The Western Hockey League is one of the three Major Junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. It was founded in 1966 as the Western Canada Junior Hockey League, and then Western Canada Hockey League with Bill Hunter as chairman of the board. In 1978, it became known as the Western Hockey League. The league is often referred to as the "dub".
